Are you looking for new talent in your company? Have you had problems identifying the right candidate, asked the job centre, local college or even a prime contractor with little or no success? This can be very time consuming, hit and miss and expensive.

The director general of the BCC said that too many people "cannot speak articulately” and fail to recognise the importance of showing up for work on time. Many are unemployable because they cannot speak properly and one eighth of young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. A survey said that many do not know how to behave in job interviews and nearly nine in ten firms said that they value communication skills the most. The survey also claimed that young people often do not know how to make eye contact or speak politely nor are they able to articulate at all about what they want to do or demonstrate that they are able to deal with customers or even with other employees. There is also a problem of punctuality when they don’t turn up for work on time and don’t think that’s a problem. Pupils need more frequent exposure to the workplace so they understand the practical and ‘real life’ application of their studies.”

If a company wants  young, enthusiastic talent who can be moulded and developed in the business, the answer could be to hire an apprentice. An apprenticeship combines employment with government funding and the company may be eligible to receive a £1,500 grant. Apprentices are motivated and can add value from day one with good retention and attendance.

apprenticesupermarket.com can train and provide fully funded NVQ/Diploma Trained apprentices with the support of a qualified Assessor. Apprentices are between 16 and 18 but most candidates, normally 19+,  will have successfully completed our pre employability course, ensuring they are ready to volunteer and gain work experience in part or full time roles.

Training can be on or off site, with no cost to the employer or employee.

Andrew Kunman CEO / Founder of apprenticesupermaket.com has joined our team and will help any SME or Corporate company to achieve their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Apprenticeship recruitment.We will help advertise, pre-screen & offer pre employability courses, traineeship intervention leading to an apprenticeship and provide the Government’s advice and Guidance (IAG) on the best way forward for the candidate to reach their potential in any business, not just within logistics and supply chain. We will advertise the vacancy, organise the delivery of the Apprenticeship framework and help employers to check their eligibility and understanding of applying for the Apprentice Grant, currently £1,500, then offer a mentoring service when the apprentice is in situ. The commitment from the employer is to accept the candidate as an apprentice and mentor them for a minimum of 12 months.

We charge a nominal fee to arrange everything from start to finish.

Apprentice Supermarket has assisted over 200 disengaged young people access essential training and work opportunities and helped employers find great candidates who are ready for work. Andrew was nominated for a House of Lords award for small business apprentice maker with SFEDI, the Government recognised UK Standards Setting Body for Business Support and Business Enterprise.
